Top and boot are from UK, snakeskin pants from Osmose

Time goes so swiftly that in a few blinks, you're 22 years old this year.
Still young, still young.
But as age catches up to me, the responsibilities and the pressures of this world follow too.

So while I can, I want to enjoy myself while working hard. I want to stay up all night with my loved ones. I want to go crazy and go all out for a cause I believe in. I want to eat and not worry about my metabolism. I want to run with the strength of a young body. I want to learn new instruments and skills. I want to dream extraordinary dreams.

I want to live my life serving and being an example to others by my words, action and love.
Of course, that means certain sacrifices have to be made.

But at the end of day, I know it is worth it because the joy is far greater.
And I still live every day to the fullest. I've not been short-changed.

After all, you only live once......
Live it well.

Felt the jolts in my bones

Forgot to add in my pictures that the sparkly peplum skirt is from Bugis Street for their signature 10 bucks price!

Wore this frilly blouse and skirt to work and decided to bring my new Statement Muse Collar Chain Link thingy out to play. Looked in the mirror and decided I looked a little too corporate for my taste.
So I threw on a pearl & daisy tie-dye baseball cap & a bag pack to make the outfit more casual.
Slipped on my go-to sandals and I was off to work!

I'm glad that my office doesn't restrict us to a certain dress code- just to look presentable enough if we do meet clients or go out for presentations. So it gives me a wide berth to play with outfits and every morning it gives me a new challenge to see how I can mix my casual clothings with more business-y ones.

It helps keep my creative juices flowing to create new outfits every day.
Some people use Sudoku, some people meditate, & I like to do dress-up!

Every one has different ideas of fun.. What's yours? :)

Tough shell

Spiked cap: Peninfashion / Red leather strap watch: Bugis ($5!!) / Maxi dress: Oakham Market

Been into mixing styles lately.
Like, this soft flowy dusty pink dress and blue feathers to make me feel like I should really be in the middle of a flower field instead of my cold work place.
But then throw on the red leather watch and a spiked cap and the look becomes less dreamy and more.. what's that word.. edgy?

I am a personal fan of studs and spikes but BALANCE is the key, some wise man said.
Whilst I have the urge to throw on every studded clothing on myself and go out, I try to hold myself back as much as possible or risk looking like an angry metal kid.

But this pic was taken a week ago so pardon my swollen eyes. :(

Work hard, party harder

Cross jeans: London / Necklace & Flower Cluch: New Look / Cat-eye shades: Cotton On

Of course the term 'work hard' is kinda subjective.
I like to give myself a pat on the back after I've fought and wrestled with digital monsters of Dreamweaver troubleshooting on a Saturday. Yes, a Saturday. I miss the times where weekends were solely for sleeping and watching tv and going to church.
Working hard also means searching very hard to find inspiration- online or in print. (read: spending hours on Tumblr & Pinterest & Twitter & Blogs while drinking sweet drinks in hope of a sudden Eureka! moment that will light up a very dull light bulb in my head now.)

So I guess you can tell that my 'party harder' is open to interpretation too.
While some peers like to hit the dance floor at night and drink stuff that makes you  feel very hot, my idea of 'partying' is.. well okay, since you asked.
Going to watch videos online with a whole pile of food surrounding me and then dancing around my dog in my newest dress and then find some more food to eat.

Okay off to find more food for my happening party tonight!
Stay safe, peaches. Xx

P.S. Yes I throw on this jeans whenever I have no idea what to wear because they can pretty much get away with anything. I'm not kidding about the very dull light bulb in my head. Zilch inspiration now. :(

Layers

A lookbook from 5 inch and up x Nelly collection

Loving the whole style and vibe of the images.
I really lke how basic the clothes are but at the same time with a little twist (like cut-outs) on them, and how nicely tailored they seem.
Amazing how a little good lighting, suitable location and ggorgeous styling can make things so desirable.
Reading up on consumerism and advertising now. So many thoughts running through my mind. Indeed, knowledge is power because I can see the veil being lifted from my eyes as I educate myself further into this shady depth of our consumer culture.

Don't worry, I'm not getting cynical of the world and its branding.... Yet.

Leather, lace and everything nice.

My faux leather vest is wilting away. :(
Time to buy a new one? Hohoho.

But even in this weather, I was perspiring like mad because of this vest. Singapore weather is hot like whoooo. But at least now that I've been through one of the toughest heatwaves, going to other countries' summer will be like a breeze~
Super excited to go overseas, even if its just a 7 weeks study trip, but carpe that diem and make the most out of it!
Travelling is as addictive as shopping.
Now I'm planning what to do with my salary (yes, before I even graduate) (yes, before I even start working full-time again)
Lol. I've always wondered what it would be like to just travel around like a nomad. But I don't think I can ever do that cos I'll be running home after 3 months. No place like home.
Still planning to go to Greece, New Zealand and hopefully New York for some project to improve my skills and then South Africa for humanitarian works and swim with the whale sharks!

I'll be the biggest customer in my own travel company hahaha.

I don't need a ring

Pics from Bona Drag
Garnet Evol Ring
Two Pearl Ring
Hex Ring

Gone are the days when a girl will swoon over a huge diamond ring. Give me a simple but beautiful ring like this and I may say 'Yes'.
On other related news, I'm constantly worried that I attract no eligible guy but every time my mom tries to match-make me, I run for my life in sheer horror.
Perhaps I just like the idea of being married but am actually a coward when it comes to real commitment. I really can't have the guy get bored of me eventually and I really can't think of that many jokes to keep him interested.
Thus ends my random and brooding entry of relationships. I know I sound so dreary over here but I promise I'm a little more optimistic in reality.
You've got to understand I just finished watching a korean drama (Secret Garden omg) and am feeling the way girls do after such shows: A mixture of hope and a little tug of truth that says those romantic gestures only exist in films.

Wild furry dreams

All I can say is that I got a little trigger happy last night hence all the random pictures of my mom's vintage fur dress and hot pink shades. My mom has treasures hidden in her wardrobe, so sometimes we dig through it and magical stuff like this fur dress comes out.....
